Philip Striar - West Roxbury, Mass. - Philip Striar, husband of the late Ida (Alper) Striar, died May 1, 2003. He was the devoted father of Sheila Striar of West Roxbury, mass., and the late Roslyn Striar; brother of the late Jake and Mike Striar, Minnie Lieberman, Sam and Louis Striar, Martha Cooper, Rebecca Cohen and Bessie Wald; and was a loving uncle and great-uncle. A service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the Jewish Community Funeral Chapel, 118 Center St., Bangor. Memorial week will be at his residence. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to a charity of your choice.
